Just a quickie....

Know what I think is chickenshit? When an ex-friend makes his journal friends-only so you can't read it anymore, even when you WANTED to keep up....but since yours is not locked, he still reads yours. I won't lock mine, I think it's lame to have a completely locked journal (if you are gonna do that, just keep an offline journal). I feel the main benefit of LJ is to make new friends...you can't do that with a friends-only journal. I realize some people have their reasons, but still....

I just think it's crummy to lock your journal so someone you once considered a friend (& you lost through your OWN actions, not hers) can't keep up with you anymore....and then still read hers. Crummy & unfair. But then....*sigh*....life isn't fair, is it?

Soooooo tired, for some reason.

Had my roller skating party last night. Fortunately, no one got hurt, beyond maybe some sore muscles & blisters. I couldn't believe how tired I got & how much my shin muscles burned, but I got more used to it as the night went on. I think I am a better ice skater than roller skater, although I WAS roller racing champ as a kid!

We were discussing how, as a kid, you have no fear, & you just get out there & skate, & don't think about getting hurt. As an adult, you are all cautious, & fearful....maybe cause you know how brittle your body is & KNOW you can get seriously hurt.

I had around 30+ people confirm they would be there "for sure" (& many more "probablys"), & 19 people showed. That's lame. Californians are truly flaky. I just don't get it. Some people had decent excuses...I DO realize shit happens & things can come up last minute. But others...I STILL haven't heard why they didn't show, or get an apology email or phone call. Flakes are lame.

But those who showed seemed to have a good time. More dribble here.Collapse )

I am really bothered by Yahoo messenger. Does this happen to you? You are in the middle of typing a long email or a post on LJ or something, & in the middle of it, your buddy list randomly pops up, making you have to stop whatever you are writing to minimize it again?
This happens to me much too often, & it drives me batty. Can I disable that? Why does it do it, anyway? JUST to be annoying? Someone mentioned it might be when there is an update to your buddy list, like someone logs off or on...but that's not the case. I don't get it. *grumble*
