Time Event
I am the luckiest girl in the world.

*sigh* Ironically, the nurse practitioner I was scheduled to see today called in sick. Therefore, it's probably going to be at least 2 weeks before the lymph nodes get examined. At least a week & a half. They hurt soooo bad. And I am anti-pain medication, & in this case, it really wouldn't help anyway (if codeine didn't help, Tylenol ain't gonna!). So the suffering continues.

I am going to try drinking a lot of water, in case there are toxins I can flush out (thanks, chappell). I hate drinking lots of water, though, especially cause it makes me pee every 30 minutes. Gotta do what I gotta do, I guess.

Today is Day Two without cheese. Yesterday I had a bacon sandwich & cereal. So far today, I have had Kashi Go Lean cereal, & will probably attempt an Elvis later...a peanut butter & banana sandwich (hey, if the King liked them...). This is gonna be tricky, since cheese & yogurt were being eaten frequently...

Sheesh....a gas station in CA is selling premium gas for $4.29 a gallon! Regular is $3.19! I am glad I don't live in that city....gee, I am only paying $2.03! Next time you people fill up with around $1.50-1.60 a gallon, think about us out here before you complain about THAT price being high.

Current Mood: annoyed
This may seem like a silly question....but....

Does butter have dairy products in it? I have always considered butter to be a diary product. But the one I use, Smart Beat, is mostly vegatable oil, it's not really butter, & none of the ingredients listed sounds dairy-ish to me.

Current Mood: curious
I think it's soooo wonderful that Elizabeth Smart was found alive. It's truly a miracle. More often than not, the news is not good when someone has been missing that long. It's truly amazing.

However....does anyone else smell something fishy going on? Witnesses are saying she had ample opportunity to run away, call the cops or her parents, or scream for help...and she did none of that. She seems very happy to be reunited with her family...but why did she stay with this man that long? She was not bound & gagged. She was not handcuffed. So close to her home, how easy would it have been for her to rip off the veil, the wig, & shout, "I'm Elizabeth Smart, someone please help me, call the police!" But she didn't. They say it's possible this man brainwashed her. How can you be THAT brainwashed? I don't mean to negate how fabulous & miraculous it is that she was found alive. But something seems very strange about this story to me....maybe the truth will come out, or maybe we will never know.

But I thank God she's alive, for that family.

Current Mood: contemplative
